Zhang Zi Yi Helps China Earthquake

Zhang Zi Yi is helping raise awareness for the recent China Earthquake at the Carlton Beach during the 2008 Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday. The chinese character she's holding is "zhu" which means "wish." She has personally donated one million yuan ($140,000 USD) for relief efforts.

As you know, the May 12th earthquake in China has left at least 41,353 people dead, destroyed 5.4 million homes and damaged another 21.4 million. I have a lot of friends who have travelled down to Bei Chuan (where the epicenter was) to help with anything they can. One comment a friend made was that the smell of death is prevalent with each passing day. A week after the earthquake, China had a nationwide three minute of silence in memory of the earthquake. I was homeschooling my girls when the siren sounded in my neighborhood and EVERYBODY stopped what they were doing to say a prayer for the victims of the earthquake. My girls and I stood in our balcony overlooking the crowd and prayed along them.


I'm glad to see Chinese celebrities raising awareness for the earthquake as well.

Britney Spears is Looking Good!

You have to admit that Britney Spears has been looking great lately. It must have been the sun from Cosa Rica because she looks well put together even if there is a little bump on her belly.


This dress wouldn't look good on anybody, so don't feel too bad for Britney Spears.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are the American royal couple, so why are they always leaving the good U.S. of A. to go somewhere else? The rumor is that Angelina Jolie is about to give birth to fraternal twin girls in less than a month! Wow! She's the skinniest mom carrying twins.

Madonna is 50 and Loving It!

For some reason, seeing Madonna and Justin Timberlake together makes me laugh. Not in a humorous way because it looks like Madonna is trying too hard to be "cool."


Madonna recently said that she never looks pictures of herself from the past (or last week for that matter) because she likes her body much better today. What do you think of Madonna's body? Too muscular?


Madonna has changed so much since Material Girl, but she looks almost sickly to me.


I hate this dress on Madonna. It's so matronly!


Does Madonna even have a stylist? She works so hard to get a fabulous body, and then she picks the worst outfits to show them off!
